This week with AARVIN we got the robot rolling! The GPS is fully implemented and GPS-Compass navigation is working!
Testing outside in real-world conditions got delayed due to real-world weather, so I need to do more testing when the sun is shining again. But! I made great progress on the memory management front: the acquisition of a BeagleBone FTDI Serial UART Scanner cable will allow me to hack the RVR library to write my own controls for the RVR, that way I can use the Arduino Due instead of the Arduino Uno, like I originally intended!
Next week I'll be hacking the library, and making way for the switch from the Uno to the Due. I will also be learning how to use the Black Magic Probe to debug AARVIN! I'll see you again next week!
