Hi there! My name is Hayley Spencer Leavitt and I am a software engineer from Marietta, GA specializing in firmware and embedded software.
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in May 2020 with a degree in painting. In my time there I learned a lot about finding solutions to problems by thinking outside the box.
After working as an accountant for a few years, I’m graduating from Oregon State University in March 2023 with a degree in Computer Science.
In my time as a CS student I started working on personal projects using Arduinos. I built several projects, like a morse code translator that would blink an LED to send in morse code whatever message the user input using their keyboard, I built a weather station using several environmental sensors and an IOT Arduino Nano so the user could monitor the humidity, temperature, and brightness of their house from the Arduino app on their phone, and for the past 2 years I have been working on a project I call AARVIN - the Autonomous Arduino-based Research Vehicle In Nature which uses an Arduino Dué, two 5v brushless dc motors, a tank-tread chassis and several sensors from sparkfun and adafruit like a gps module, a magnetometer, and a camera to autonomously travel along a route from point to point and collect data about those points.
So, as you can tell, I’m passionate about not only making things, but making them work and work for you.
