This presentation describes grass seed production, including planting, growth stages, growth characteristics, harvesting of forage by livestock, and harvesting of seed by machine. It also describes utilization of forage by livestock, nutrient requirements of sheep, and grazing behavior of sheep. Alternative grazing sequences, such as young actively growing lambs grazing first and dry ewes last, and growing and using alternative forages or dedicated pastures for feeding livestock.
